We have made our journey to the lake in our 26' wind mobile (RV) last night but the road to my "parking spot" is blocked by half of a live oak tree which fell during the night in the crazy winds. In order not be foiled (pun intended), I drive to the other side of the road and back in about 1/4 of a mile on a windy road. The deer are gathering to eat the Spanish moss on the tree. A delightful gift to the hoofed mammals. A tree crew cleared the road by noon and felled the rest of the tree as well.
We are now parked on the road which runs in front of the lake. Jane has again just finished making our breakfast of eggs, hashbrowns, toast, orange juice and I've just finished my second cup of coffee.

It's a nasty day with the wind blowing from 0 to 20 mph in various directions. It's also quite cold at 72F but the wind makes it seem much colder. We all comment that it feels like fall. It's a good day to ride a bike, and socialize with good friends. It finally shakes out around 4:00 pm and I get an hour and a half of windsurfing in at a gusty 20-21 mph.
Time for our Saturday night barbecue by the lake. Four grills, lots of shared food and great company. Lots of laughs with good friends. Our German friend and Hollywood mogul JZ is on hand this evening. It somehow feels a little more jovial tonight. Of course, there are sausages and beer on my grill!
