I made my journey to the lake last night. It was uneventful as I left about an hour later than usual. We will be celebrating my birthday with the tribe this weekend and Jane packed a lot of food! I came up two days earlier than usual so I'll be spending five days at the lake.
I am now parked on the road which runs in front of the lake. When I drove in this morning there must have been 100 turkey vultures circling above road. There are always buzzards her, but I've never seen so many at one time.
Jane is not here so I'm on my own for three squares today. I had a bowl of cereal, a banana and some mini banana nut muffins.
I set up my Slingshot Dialer board and rigged two sails; a 6.0 Ezzy wave and a 5.3 Ezzy wave.
It was another windy day. It has been very windy at the lake this year, albeit up and down at times. The wind started off light this morning but, it shot straight up to 20 mph from about 8 mph. I'm windsurfing on the 6.0 meter Ezzy wave sail and a 118 lite HiFly board. Sometimes you need the bigger board to get to the wind. It blew pretty hard throughout the afternoon. I'm trying to get some foiling in this trip to get ready for the lighter winds in the fall. Somethings telling me I might have to wait for the lighter winds in fall to get on the foil. Over all I had about three hours of good windsurfing!
